Consultants worldwide

D-01 / Physical Security

Officers on site. Supervision behind them.

Manned guarding for commercial, industrial, residential and public facilities — deployed against a written site risk assessment, not a headcount guess, and checked by supervisors day and night.

Manned Guarding

12- or 24-hour guarding, patrols, access control, gatehouse and front-office duties for commercial, industrial, residential and public facilities.

Alarm Response

Alarm monitoring, panic-button escalation and coordinated mobile response through the 24/7 control room.

K9 Services

Patrol dogs, sniffer and detection dogs, trained handlers, breeding and boarding services.

Close Protection

Risk-informed personal protection delivered by vetted personnel, armed or unarmed subject to lawful authorization.

Escort Services

Marked or covert escort for personnel, vehicles and cargo; armed support coordinated where lawfully available.

Risk & Investigations

Security and risk surveys, private investigations and security consultancy.

Safety Services

Fire-equipment supply and servicing, PPE supplies, first-aid awareness and fire training.

Fleet & Vehicle Tracking

Real-time vehicle location, route visibility and operational monitoring to strengthen fleet control.

24/7 Control Room

Continuous contract monitoring, incident logging, escalation and deployment coordination.

Mobile Operations

A fleet of four Nissan NV200 vehicles and three motorcycles supporting patrol and response.

K9 Capability

A team of 12 trained dogs with professional handlers.

People & Supervision

Permanent management and guarding personnel supported by shift supervisors, senior controllers and a night manager.

Any armed service is subject to lawful authorization and coordination with the relevant authorities. A signed service agreement and site survey precede every deployment.

D-02 / Security Technology

Make the site legible before an incident, not after.

Electronic security is only worth what it tells you in the moment. Talon designs, installs and maintains systems that feed a monitored control room — and keeps them working.

01

CCTV & Video

Camera network design, installation, maintenance and health checks — so footage exists when it is needed and is usable when it is pulled.

02

Intrusion Detection

Intruder alarms, electric fencing and perimeter detection, integrated with the 24/7 control room for monitored response.

03

Access Control

Controlled entry for visitors, staff, vehicles and goods, with occurrence records that stand up to review.

04

Fleet & Vehicle Tracking

Real-time location, route visibility and operational monitoring to strengthen fleet control and recovery.

D-03 / Talon Security Advisory Africa

Financial-crime risk, translated into controls a regulator will accept.

Our advisory practice serves banks, fintechs, SACCOs and designated non-financial businesses. We combine people, process and technology to help clients meet legal obligations and build proportionate, defensible controls.

Feb 2024

Kenya added to the FATF list of jurisdictions under increased monitoring

The Anti-Money Laundering and Combating of Terrorism Financing Laws (Amendment) Act, 2025 widened who counts as a reporting institution and sharpened supervision. Every reporting institution must register on goAML and file an annual compliance report with the Financial Reporting Centre by 31 January.

Talon Security Advisory Africa helps institutions meet these obligations with controls that are proportionate to their business — and defensible when tested.

Outsourced KYC & Screening

One-off, periodic or ongoing customer due diligence — identity review, PEP, sanctions, adverse-media and regulatory screening. Most cases returned within 24 hours.

Enhanced Due Diligence

Risk-based review of customers, source of funds and — where necessary — source of wealth in higher-risk relationships.

Transaction Monitoring

Operational support and technology-enabled review of transactions and alerts, with escalation routes that hold up under review.

Compliance Risk Management

Enterprise risk assessments and written CRMPs — policy, controls, procedures, reporting and accountability arrangements.

AML/CFT Systems

Requirements definition, screening and monitoring automation, scenario design and optimisation of false-positive rates.

KYC Remediation

Clean, refresh and complete legacy customer records against an agreed standard and retention schedule.

Integrity Due Diligence

Background, integrity and reputational-risk checks for institutions entering new business relationships.

Training

Sector-specific AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions and fraud-awareness programmes for boards, compliance teams and frontline staff.

Turnaround times depend on case complexity, data quality, risk level and third-party information availability. Technology supports, but does not replace, accountable decision-making — final risk acceptance and regulatory reporting remain with authorized client personnel.

Method

The same loop, whether it is a gatehouse or a monitoring model.

Every engagement runs through six steps. It is deliberately a loop — the last step feeds the first at the next review.

  1. 01

    Assess

Confirm scope, risks, service levels and reporting lines. For advisory work, map money-laundering, terrorist-financing, fraud and sanctions exposure.

  2. 02

    Design

Match people, procedure and technology to the actual risk — site SOPs, escalation thresholds, control frameworks.

  3. 03

    Implement

Deploy vetted officers and systems, or stand up policies, screening and monitoring workflows with skills transfer to your team.

  4. 04

    Monitor

Supervised deployment and continuous review through the control room or the case-management workflow.

  5. 05

    Report

Regular incident, operational and compliance reporting through the agreed client channel — a traceable record of actions.

  6. 06

    Improve

Assess performance, emerging threats and client feedback; update mitigation measures, controls and next-review dates.

What holds it together

Four commitments we are willing to be judged on.

People First

Recruit, train and support motivated team players. Dependable service starts with supported, accountable employees.

Absolute Integrity

Act openly, ethically and responsibly. Our word is non-negotiable.

Tailored Solutions

Match people, procedures and technology to the real risk — not a template.

Service with Passion

Respond professionally and take ownership of client needs.
